  1. Post something on your blog (if you haven’t already this week). You can post anything you want, and you don’t need an image.
  2. Read your peers’ blogs and post comments. (Click on ‘Student Blog’ to find links to all blogs).

Happy blogging!

Third Blog Post Due

Hi folks!

Here is your to-do list for today:

  1. Post some flash fiction on your blog (this counts as your third blog post and is worth 4 formative points).
  2. Read your peers’ blogs and post comments. You should read at least five other peers’ blogs.
  3. Make sure you’re working on Creative Writing class activities the entire time.

Happy reading and writing!

Blog Post #1 Due

Hi folks!

Today is a day to work on your blogs as well as read your peers’ blogs and post comments.

Remember that you have to post on your blog at least once a week for credit. Be sure to publish something by midnight Sunday.

Keep in mind your weekly posts (unless otherwise specified) can be about anything you want. The point is to get in the habit of posting on your blog so you can get constant feedback on your work. Consider typing one of your writer’s notebook entries and sharing what the prompt was. You do not have to include an image (although it’s always encouraged).

Have fun and use your time wisely. Once you post something, you should read and comment on your peers’ work.

Peer Feedback on About Me pages

Hi folks!

Now that your blogs are set up, it’s time to start exploring!

Click on “Student Blogs” on our class blog so you can find each other’s blogs. Consider following each other as well so you never miss a post! Posts will show up in your Reader once you do.

Go to Google Classroom and select the assignment, Peer Feedback. Follow the directions and, when you’re done, click ‘turn in’ in the top right-hand corner.

This assignment is due tonight.

Have fun!

Today’s tasks:

1. Finish tasks from Monday (as needed).

2. Add at least 5 blogs to follow on the WordPress Reader.

3. Get your “About Me” page done (remember this is a PAGE and not a WIDGET or a POST. If you are confused, let your teacher know)

  • image with proper credit given
  • well-written intro to yourself (poetry or prose is acceptable)
  • no mention of your true identity or way of personally contacting you
  • achieve one of your writing goals in the creation of this page (for example, no spelling errors)

4. Make sure you fill out the top half of the Blog Rubric on Google Classroom and hit ‘Turn In’ when you’re done.

Have fun! Tomorrow you will be viewing your peers’ blogs and offering feedback.
